A 29 year old from sunny Southern California. I am the author of this wonderfully miscellaneous blog. If you're looking for more details on my background - You are in the right place!
Hello, and thank you for wanting to learn even more about me.
As you can probably imagine, I have been passionate about the medical field since I was first introduced to a stethoscope when I was only 4 years old. In the last several years, I have accumulated vast and varied experience in the field of healthcare. My previous job titles have ranged from working as a front office receptionist, back office administrative assistance, Medical Assistant, Case Manager, Insurance Agent, and most currently a Transitions of Care Coach at a local hospital. I truly look forward to my refreshed career as a BSN, RN by the end of 2018! My ultimate career goal (10-20 yr plan) is to someday work as a Hospital Administrator at a Director level to have a significant impact on healthcare outcomes from the bottom up.
My educational background currently includes:
UCLA – B.S. in Physiology (2009)
Champlain College – M.S. in Healthcare Management (2014)
+Graduate Certificate in Health Care Information Systems
+Graduate Certificate in Health Care Quality Improvement
CCMC – Certified Case Manager (2015)
Health Sciences Institute – Chronic Care Professional (2016)
Additional training in: Dementia Care, Basic Life Support CPR & Mental Health First Aid
My goals for this blog in particular are currently undefined. Initially, it will serve as an outlet for me to process my weekly experiences as I go back to school full at a brick and mortar institution for the first time since 2009. Eventually, my hope is that it will evolve into an educational outlet where I can provide advice, highlight guest bloggers, and even provide mentorship or guidance to others that may come after me. I sincerely hope that you find this site helpful, or at the very least entertaining.
